The Stella Artois commercials are amazing. Then again this is all I can say seeing that a) I'm coming from a very creative/artistic/ and analytical background and b) I've never tasted Stella, but I hear it's really good.
The most recent commercial as far as I know is 'The Life Légère':
Primarily I love the vintage, European feel to it. You just want to be there in what I will assume is Paris, France. It's a nice spring day, smooth jazz in going on in the background, and you just wanted to stop for a small lunch or brunch -a panini or a croissant with an espresso on the patio of a quaint little cafe on the skirt of the city.
My analysis is this: the lady wants a beer but can't get one, however on the other side of the water, the gentleman (A) is just getting his. He sees her not getting a beer, or any attention, really, but is also interested in her in general. So being a gentleman he graciously offer her his drink, via napkin boat across the fountain. She receives the drink but I guess would rather have her own instead of just taking his, so she kisses it as a sign of gratitude and appreciation ('thanks, but I can't accept...') and sails it back to him. Unfortunately it doesn't make it back because it gets intercepted by a rogue ship from gentleman (B). (B) smiles and raises a quick toast to the lady. After all she is the reason for drink, she indirectly created a window of opportunity for the pillaging. She gives a quick smile back either because of the humor of the situation and/or she's now interested in (B) because he's 'bad' and a 'rebel'. (A) is at loss because his ship is gone, his beer is gone, and he's possibly lost the affection/attention of the lady.
I still question what exactly this has to do with 'The Life Légère' unless it's from (B)'s point of view where once you're 'smooth' and 'cool' you can get a great beer and the girl -which would make more sense.
Also I wonder if you can really make a paper boat strong enough to hold up a full beer bottle or if it just was special effect.
